What is a Whale Sac?
A Whale Sac is a tie-on, whale-shaped grip bag that is designed to dry your wet/sweaty hands during activities and sports that require hand and finger grip. The tail will tie to your bag, belt loop, etc. for easy access. Grab a sac and roll it in your hands, between fingers, you also can rub onto your disc, equipment, etc. Filling: clay based stone/powder - non-rosin, cleaner than chalk.
Who We Are
Whale Sacs was born over a decade ago as a simple solution to slippery hands. Founder Tina Oakley needed something to take her disc golf game to the next level and improve her grip, so she used her creative passion and love for environmental protection to create the beloved whale shaped dry bags we continue to provide today. Sticking to its legacy and Tina’s virtue, Whale Sacs donates 3% of its profits to the non-profit organization Save the Whales.
When the time came for Tina to pursue new endeavors, she entrusted the future of Whale Sacs to Steven and Teresa Bailey. The Bailey’s share Tina’s passion for the disc golf community and traveling with the sport. Their goals aim to spread their love of the sport and its people through direct community involvement including sponsorships, pro player support, retailer availability, and activities—both online and in person.
While disc golf remains the primary audience for grip enhancement, Whale Sacs can be used for any sport or in any situation where enhanced grip is desired. Below are some of the avenues where Whale Sacs have already made a difference in people’s lives.

There is always new research being conducted and we check that research often to make sure we are using the best resources possible.
