Landyachtz Dinghy Coffin Longboard Complete -
This unique and super compact cruiser shape checks in at 28.2″ long by 8.3″ wide.
Besides looking cool, the Coffin shape is super functional as it puts the widest parts of the board under your front heel and back toe, meaning you have tons of leverage on both rails without having to move your feet much.
The Dinghy Coffin is pressed with 7 plies of Canadian maple for a light, stiff and poppy ride. It comes set up with Polar Bear 105mm trucks for maximum agility and a super tight turning circle. 63mm 78a Fatty Hawgs wheels finish off the setup and ensure you’ll have a smooth ride with plenty of roll speed and grip without having to worry about wheelbite.
The Dinghy Coffin is a 3/10 Flex, 1 being STIFF and 10 being FLEXY!
So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it.
It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board.
Here are some basics:
- Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed.
- Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease.
- Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town.
