Fix footwear permanently at home or in the field with Aquaseal SR. Formerly known as Freesole, this shoe repair adhesive is waterproof and dries as a clear, flexible glue that lasts for years. With just one small 1 oz tube, easily complete a boot repair, create durable toe protectors, and rebuild worn heels. Unaffected by heat or cold, make heavy duty shoe repairs that can withstand the elements whether at a jobsite or on a mountaintop. From rubber boots to steel-toe shoes and everything in between, repair and reinforce your footwear with Aquaseal SR.

Ideal For:

  • Repairing cracked soles and worn toe caps on hiking boots, trail runners, and casual footwear
  • Reattaching loose soles on rubber boots or everyday shoes
  • Sealing and waterproofing high-wear areas with a flexible rubber bond

Steps:

  1. Prep the surface. Clean the damaged area and remove any loose dirt or debris. If possible, rough up smooth surfaces with sandpaper for better adhesion. Make sure everything is dry before moving on.
  2. Apply Aquaseal SR. Squeeze a thin, even layer onto, or into, the damaged section — whether it’s a peeling sole, cracked midsole, or worn-out toe. Use a stick or brush to shape and smooth it as needed.
  3. Let it cure overnight. Keep the footwear flat/closed and undisturbed while the adhesive cures for 8–12 hours. For deep cracks or heavy wear, you can add a second layer after the first has set.
  4. Walk on. Once fully cured, your repair will be tough, flexible, and abrasion-resistant — ready for trails, streets, or shop floors.
